Basketball Game Preview: Plainview Pirates vs. Creighton Bulldogs

Plainview hasn't had much luck against Creighton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Plainview Pirates will be playing at home against the Creighton Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Creighton took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Plainview, who comes in off a win.

Plainview will bounce into Friday's game after beating O'Neill, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Plainview strolled past O'Neill with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 59-45.

Meanwhile, Creighton came up short against Bloomfield on Thursday and fell 60-51.

Creighton has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Plainview, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Everything came up roses for Plainview against Creighton in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 57-25 win. In that match, Plainview amassed a halftime lead of 28-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
