Football Game Preview: Hunterdon Central Red Devils vs. East Brunswick Bears

The Hunterdon Central Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the East Brunswick Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Brunswick took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hunterdon Central, who comes in off a win.

Hunterdon Central took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Union with points to spare, taking the game 28-14.

Meanwhile, East Brunswick fell victim to Old Bridge and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Knights 48-0. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Knights are ranked 91st).

Hunterdon Central now has a winning record of 3-2. As for East Brunswick, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Everything went Hunterdon Central's way against East Brunswick when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Hunterdon Central made off with a 28-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
