Marlboro Academy came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Florence Christian Eagles with a sharp 14-7 victory. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

Marlboro Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Florence Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Marlboro Academy will take on Lee Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
