Basketball Recap: Starmont Takes a Loss

Starmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the North Linn Lynx, falling 103-47. While losing is never fun, the Stars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Lynx are ranked 61st).

Starmont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for North Linn, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Starmont has already played their next contest (against Central City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Linn will be playing at home against North Cedar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in North Linn's favor as the team sits on 19 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while North Cedar has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.
