Football Game Preview: Reedley Pirates vs. Kingsburg Vikings + How To Watch

Reedley is 0-6 against Kingsburg since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Neither Reedley nor Kingsburg posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Reedley's last matchup with Washington Union could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Pirates had to suffer through a 33-0 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

Even if they lost, Reedley's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. In that department, Kyle Dewey was the leader with three. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 15. Cristian Cobian was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles (2.5 for loss).

Meanwhile, Kingsburg posted their closest victory since October 18, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-7 win over Kerman. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Reedley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Kingsburg, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-3.

Reedley was dealt a bruising 49-14 loss at the hands of Kingsburg in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Pirates were down 35-0.
