Baseball Recap: Higbee Takes a Loss

Higbee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against Brashear, falling 14-2. If Higbee was looking for revenge after losing 5-3 to Brashear when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Higbee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cale Nelson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Chase Price also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Higbee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Brashear, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Higbee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-2 loss against Novinger on the 24th. Brashear has also already played their next contest (against Northwestern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
