Baseball Game Preview: Parkrose Broncos vs. Hood River Valley Eagles

Parkrose is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will venture away from home to take on the Hood River Valley Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Parkrose is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Last Wednesday, Parkrose earned a 7-2 win over McNary.

Casey Moyes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, Chaz Johnson and Jaiden Blair did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Blair scored a run and stole three bases. Those three stolen bases gave Blair a new career-high. Jeremiah McCauley also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Hood River Valley came up short against Ida B. Wells on Friday and fell 12-8.

Parkrose's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Hood River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
