Basketball Game Preview: Canyon View Falcons vs. North Sanpete Hawks

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Canyon View Falcons take on the North Sanpete Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday... Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Canyon View is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Richfield just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. The contest between them and the Wildcats didn't end well, with Canyon View falling 63-47.

Meanwhile, North Sanpete came up short against Carbon on Wednesday and fell 70-61. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Canyon View's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-4. As for North Sanpete, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Canyon View took their victory against North Sanpete in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 72-47. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was North Sanpete's Ridge Hendry, who went 9 of 12 en route to 29 points and four steals.
