Baseball Recap: Franklin Central Comes Up Short

Franklin Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Fishers on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-5. The Flashes have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Nevan Tutterow spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jack Cecil was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Franklin Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Fishers, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4.
