Soccer Game Preview: Modoc vs. Fall River

Modoc is 2-8 against Fall River since August of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Braves will take on the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Modoc comes in on eight and Fall River on 13.

Modoc barely beat Trinity the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Braves never let Wolves get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Saturday. Three seems to be a good number for Modoc as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Saturday. Fall River walked away with a 2-0 win over Butte Valley. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Fall River's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Butte Valley is ranked 53rd).

Modoc's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Fall River, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.

Modoc came out on top in a nail-biter against Fall River when the teams last played back in August, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
