Basketball Recap: Episcopal Comes Up Short

Episcopal has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Feliciana Saints on Friday. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saints earlier this season, when they won 43-34.

West Feliciana got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sanaya Berry out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most points Berry has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Samaria Berry, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 21 rebounds.

Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for West Feliciana, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Episcopal will welcome Port Allen at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Episcopal has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for West Feliciana, they will head out to face off against GEO Next Generation at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. GEO Next Generation's defense has only allowed 26.9 points per game this season, so West Feliciana's offense will have their work cut out for them.
