Baseball Preview: Elizabeth Bulldogs vs. Jordan Bulldogs        
        
		
            We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Elizabeth will be strutting in after a  win while Jordan will be coming in after a  defeat.
Elizabeth made up a huge gap compared to their last game against San Gabriel, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Elizabeth was the clear victor by  a  14-7 margin over San Gabriel on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the  match before.

 Dominic Munoz made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and three unearned) runs off   five  hits. Those  ten  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Ian Carmona was  incredible,  scoring four  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. Those  four  runs gave  him a new career-high.  Eduardo Cuevas was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Jordan was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Maywood Academy.
 Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Elizabeth, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Elizabeth has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 8.3  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Jordan struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 11.7  strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Elizabeth beat Jordan 9-6  in their previous matchup  back in February of 2024. Will Elizabeth repeat their success,  or does  Jordan has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
