Volleyball Game Preview: Mayfair Monsoons vs. Norwalk Lancers

For the first time this season, Mayfair will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will venture away from home to challenge the Norwalk Lancers at 3:15 p.m. Mayfair has now lost eight straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 11.

Mayfair saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to Oxford Academy.

While Mayfair had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Norwalk, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Gahr by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

While Norwalk might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gahr scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 20-25, 25-22, 27-25.

Norwalk now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Mayfair, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
