Baseball Recap: Pembroke Pines Charter Wins Going Away Against Monarch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pembroke Pines Charter). They were the clear victor by a 14-0 margin over the Monarch Knights on Monday. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the 14-5 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2022.

Dean Jaworski looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Justin Probst was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Eric Molina, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Pembroke Pines Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Pembroke Pines Charter's record now sits at 2-3. As for Monarch, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Pembroke Pines Charter will be taking part in a tournament against South Broward at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Monarch, they will take on Wellington at 6:30 p.m. on March 3rd.
