Baseball Game Preview: Seeger Patriots vs. North Vermillion Falcons

For the second straight game, Seeger will face off against North Vermillion. The Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seeger will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Seeger is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 24-3 margin over North Vermillion on Tuesday.

Macyn Hughes and Garrett Wontor made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hughes pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Wontor tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. At the plate, Hughes went 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Wontor scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI Hughes has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Xavier Lang was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three doubles. Another player making a difference was Ryder Hannon, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Seeger always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

North Vermillion is on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6. As for Seeger, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3.
