Salinas had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the King City Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Salinas never let King City on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 26-24, 25-19.

Salinas' offense was headlined by Teagan Bell and Mackenzie O'Hara, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Ariana Devers and her 22 assists. Savannah Higuera controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Salinas' victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for King City, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Coming up, Salinas will take on Monte Vista Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cowboys are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for King City, they will square off against Pacific Grove at 7:06 p.m. on Monday.
