Basketball Game Preview: Bowman Academy Eagles vs. Michigan City Wolves

Bowman Academy is 0-9 against Michigan City since January of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Bowman Academy Eagles will welcome the Michigan City Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bowman Academy is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Marquette Catholic on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Bowman Academy had to suffer through a 65-26 loss at the hands of Marquette Catholic. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Blazers are ranked 64th).

Despite their loss, Bowman Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kahlen Robinson, who posted 12 points and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. That was a full 46.2% of Bowman Academy's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, Michigan City didn't have quite enough to beat South Bend Riley on Saturday and fell 47-44.

Michigan City's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Bowman Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
