St. Francis Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the First Baptist Crusaders, posting a 70-42 victory. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 27 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, First Baptist saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Charles Kuenster went 7-for-13 en route to 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kuenster has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Dudek, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.

St. Francis Christian pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41 points. As for First Baptist, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.

Coming up, St. Francis Christian will square off against Lake Region Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Francis Christian is facing Lake Region Christian at the right time seeing as Lake Region Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for First Baptist, they have already played their next contest, a 71-57 victory against Immanuel Lutheran on the 14th.
