Volleyball Recap: Statesville Christian Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Statesville Christian's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the North Hills Christian Eagles. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Statesville Christian wouldn't go down easily and took North Hills Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-8, 25-23, 19-25, 19-17.

Statesville Christian found their leader in sophomore Abbey Wright, who had 13 digs and three aces.

Statesville Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive games.
