Three Rivers recap Sept. 26, 2012
Northeast moved up to 217 from 243 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Three Rivers. A 57-24 win over the Vikings helped the Vikings improve their standing.
Northeast's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. J.T. Richardson threw for 97 yards and Nick Younge had 55 yards receiving. On the ground Richardson chipped in 52 yards. Killian Willard helped Northeast's passing attack out by catching one ball for 13 yards.
Northeast's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Richardson has thrown for 334 yards this season, while Younge has seven catches for 132 yards. Richardson also leads the league in rushing with 645 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Phil Hobbs's team takes on Jayhawk Linn. As it stands, the Vikings are in second, while the Jayhawks are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Northeast takes on Jayhawk Linn. The Vikings have allowed 99 points this season, while Kirk Holt's team has given up 95. Northeast allowed 57 points last week as it fell to Galena.
The Vikings made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,401 from 14,607. The improvement was the result of 57-24 victory over Northeast last week.
