Basketball Recap: Stewart County Comes Up Short

Stewart County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss. They took a blow against the Waverly Central Tigers, falling 77-38. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-45 two weeks ago.

Stewart County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Waverly Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stewart County will square off against Livingston Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waverly Central, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Waverly Central Tigers duke it out with the Camden Central Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Waverly Central is facing Camden Central at the right time seeing as Camden Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
