Lanier kept a clean sheet against Mountain View on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bears by a score of 2-0. Give Lanier's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Yadira Otero Guerrero and Miley Ramos scored both of Lanier's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Lanier pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. As for Mountain View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Lanier and Mountain View will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Longhorns see the pitch they'll take on Berkmar at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Mountain View, their break will end when they face Chattahoochee at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th.
