Basketball Recap: Cumberland Piles Up the Points Against Spooner

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cumberland). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Spooner Rails 78-51. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Beavers with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Spooner, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Cumberland will head out to challenge Barron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Spooner, they will welcome Ladysmith at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ladysmith knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Spooner likes a good challenge.
