Mt. Vernon won the last time they faced Licking Valley, and Audrey Stuller did her part to make sure it happened again. The Yellowjackets came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday with plenty of help from Stuller, who had 37 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 25 games she's played dating back to last season.
Mt. Vernon had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.
Mt. Vernon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Callie Swanson, who had eight digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Komitau, who had 26 assists and two aces.
They weren't the only good server: Mt. Vernon was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.
