Bunkie barely beat Rayne the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers never let the Wolves get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Panthers have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Aubree Ducote, who gave up just a hit to keep Rayne off the board. Ducote has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Bunkie let Layken Middlebrooks and Andi Bettevy run wild. Middlebrooks went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Bettevy went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Bettevy has posted over her last ten contests. Another player making a difference was Ava Webb, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Bunkie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
Plaquemine typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday St. Joseph's - Plaucheville proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Green Devils 8-0. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Bunkie is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-13.
Everything went Bunkie's way against St. Joseph's - Plaucheville when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Bunkie made off with a 9-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
