Basketball Recap: Riverdale Christian Comes Up Short

Riverdale Christian played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Kings Christian Crusaders, falling 80-29. The defeat continues a trend for the Ambassadors in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now lost seven in a row.

Kings Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elyas Miro, who went 10 for 15 en route to 26 points along with five assists and four steals. Miro is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Andrew Ortega, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals.

Riverdale Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Kings Christian, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
