Soccer Game Preview: Westland Hialeah vs. South Miami

The Westland Hialeah Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the South Miami Cobras at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Westland Hialeah's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Westland Hialeah fell victim to True North Classical Academy and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. Considering the last time the Wildcats couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, South Miami entered their game against Coral Park back in December of 2024 without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. South Miami fell 4-2 to Coral Park. The Cobras' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Westland Hialeah's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-2. As for South Miami, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-8-1.

Westland Hialeah might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from South Miami when the teams last played back in January of 2022. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Westland Hialeah was down 4-0.
