Basketball Recap: Morristown Beats Herron for Their Second Straight Win

If Herron wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Morristown, they should've done a better job of containing Kellen Crim. The Morristown Yellow Jackets ended the year with a bang, routing the Herron Achaeans 66-40 on Saturday thanks in part to Crim, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 29 points in addition to six assists and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Keithley, who posted eight points and seven rebounds. Those seven boards gave him a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Morristown and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Herron, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Morristown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-48 victory against Western Boone on the 28th. As for Herron, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Indianapolis Arsenal Technical at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
