Soccer Recap: Camden Comes Up Short

After flying high against Woodland on Saturday, Camden came back down to earth. The Camden Bulldogs lost 4-1 to the South Aiken Thoroughbreds on Sunday. The Bulldogs were red-hot offensively heading into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the three contests prior), but the Thoroughbreds' defense proved too tough.

Camden's goal came courtesy of Conner Jones, who's now up to six this season.

The loss snapped Camden's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-1 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those three games. As for South Aiken, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Camden didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Lugoff-Elgin on the 3rd. As for South Aiken, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss against Westside on the 2nd.
