Basketball Recap: Lewistown Comes Up Short

If Lewistown was riding high fresh off their 69-38 takedown of Seymour last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lewistown Indians were outmatched by the Elmwood Trojans and fell 56-27. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Lewistown lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Carsyn Braun, who posted eight points.

Lewistown has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for Elmwood, they pushed their record up to 17-12 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Lewistown has already played their next game, a 74-16 win against Riverton on the 8th. As for Elmwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 48-28 victory against Midwest Central/Delavan on the 10th.
