Juanita Sanchez Complex had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Providence Country Day Knights on Wednesday. The Cavaliers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Justin Gonzalez was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Coming up, Juanita Sanchez Complex will welcome Scituate at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Providence Country Day, they will head out on the road to face off against Rogers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
