Softball Recap: Eunice Comes Up Short

Eunice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 13-9 to the Oakdale Warriors. That's two games in a row now that the Bobcats have lost by exactly four runs.

Eva Sattler was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydni Miller, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Eunice's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Oakdale, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eunice will face off against Leesville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wampus Cats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.21 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Oakdale, they will square off against Port Barre at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
