Basketball Recap: Dealyn Gray Key Part of a Team Effort in Blue Devils Win

Elbert County's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Stephens County Indians by a score of 86-75. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 51-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Elbert County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dealyn Gray, who went 9 of 13 en route to 21 points along with six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Morrison, who posted 19 points and six assists.

Elbert County's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Stephens County, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Elbert County will host Banks County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Elbert County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70.7 points per game this season. As for Stephens County, they will head out to square off against West Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
