Columbus North came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the East Central Trojans 53-28. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bull Dogs had established a 20 point advantage.

Columbus North was led to victory by Austin Perry and Nathan Enneking. Perry went 6 for 9 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds, while Enneking went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points. What's more, Enneking also posted a 71% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Garrett Long, who posted four points and five boards.

Columbus North was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Central only racked up seven assists.

East Central's loss came despite strong showings from Peyton Hofer and Liam Rogers. Hofer earned nine points, while Rogers scored 11 points. Elijah Sehlhorst was another key player, putting up three points.

Columbus North pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for East Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus North will square off against Bloomington South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bloomington South's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for East Central, they will take on Connersville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Central is facing Connersville at the right time seeing as Connersville is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
