Volleyball Recap: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Takes a Loss

The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions came up short against the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-13, 27-25, 25-14.

Hayden Picton paced Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Picton got some help from Patrick Coyle and his 33 assists. Landen Maynard controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Mica Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Pusch Ridge Christian Academy nor Mica Mountain have any future games scheduled.
