Football Recap: Luling Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Luling's offense. They were outmatched by the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls and fell 29-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 46-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

GARY CANTU threw for 67 yards on ten of 26 attempts. MALIK LEBLANC was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards.

Luling's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Anderson-Shiro, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Luling will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Travis at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Anderson-Shiro, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-13 victory against Tarkington on the 12th.
