It was a good run, but Rodriguez unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 78-53 to the Sacramento Dragons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered since February 8, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sacramento to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shawn Underwood, who went 6 for 10 en route to 14 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Underwood is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was SirMarius Jones, who went 7 of 17 on his way to 17 points.

Rodriguez's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 16-4. As for Sacramento, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rodriguez will host Vanden at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Rodriguez has won seven straight at home, while Vanden won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Sacramento, they will welcome Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sacramento is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63 points per game this season.
