Baseball Game Preview: Perry Pirates vs. South Rebels

The Perry Pirates will head out on the road to challenge the South Rebels at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Perry is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

On Friday, Perry made easy work of Harvey and carried off a 13-3 win. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, while South put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Brush. The Rebels came out on top against the Arcs by a score of 4-0. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Arcs: they've now won three in a row.

Perry's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for South, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.

Perry took their victory against South in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 13-6 score. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
