Baseball Recap: East Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

East dropped their record down to 6-12 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Alta Hawks, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Tuesday.

As for Alta, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Their pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three games.

For Alta's part, not much got past John Warren, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep East off the board. Warren has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Marco Aviles, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Colton Hall, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

While East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
