Basketball Game Preview: Cabell Midland Knights vs. Breathitt County Bobcats

The Cabell Midland Knights will challenge the Breathitt County Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Cabell Midland: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Breathitt County has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.

Cabell Midland is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Parkersburg on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Cabell Midland came up short against Parkersburg, falling 85-63.

The losing side was boosted by Aidan Ray, who posted 19 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Spence, who earned six points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Breathitt County earned a 65-53 win over Rowan County on Wednesday.

Breathitt County has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Cabell Midland, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
