Football Recap: Southeast Guilford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Southeast Guilford might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was R.J. Reynolds who claimed the real prize. The Falcons fell 19-14 to the Demons. The Falcons were up 14-0 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Although Southeast Guilford took the loss, they still got scores from Khalil Mckee and Caleb Jackson.

R.J. Reynolds' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Antonio Samuels, who rushed for 105 yards and one TD, and also picked up 39 receiving yards. Samuels also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble, making four total tackles, and defending one pass. Jaden Wilson was another key receiver, picking up 91 receiving yards and one touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for Southeast Guilford and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for R.J. Reynolds, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast Guilford will challenge Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for R.J. Reynolds, they will venture away from home to face off against Ballantyne Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
