Basketball Game Preview: North Eagles vs. Lee Central Stallions

Two dominant guards in Kailen Parks and Serenity Williams are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The North Eagles will face off against the Lee Central Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with North sitting on eight straight victories and Lee Central on ten.

North is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They strolled past Williston-Elko with points to spare, taking the game 61-43. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly 18 points.

Parks continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 33 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of North's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayshia Mack, who posted eight points in addition to ten boards and three steals.

North smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.

Lee Central meant business on Monday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Trojans squad that has allowed just 26.96 points per contest. Lee Central blew past Hunter-Kinard-Tyler 66-43. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 23 points or more this season.

Lee Central's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.6 points over those games. As for North, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.
