Football Recap: Mexia Comes Up Short

The matchup between Mexia and West on Friday hardly resembled the 7-6 effort from their previous meeting. The Black Cats had to suffer through a 64-0 loss at the hands of the Trojans. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, the Black Cats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Mexia dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for West, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.
