Basketball Recap: Eagle Ridge Christian Takes a Loss

If Eagle Ridge Christian was feeling good fresh off their 53-24 takedown of Crosspoint Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 30-29 to the El Dorado Christian Buffalos. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffalos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

El Dorado Christian found their leader in sophomore McKenzie Cole, who posted 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cole has scored at least a third of El Dorado Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlynn Judd, who had six points and six boards.

Eagle Ridge Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for El Dorado Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-10.

Eagle Ridge Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for El Dorado Christian, they have already played their next game, a 62-31 defeat against Berean Christian Academy on the 15th.
