Fairview extended their winning streak to seven on Thursday, bumping them up to 8-1. They were the clear victors by a 45-20 margin over the Fossil Ridge SaberCats. Considering the Knights have won eight games by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Fairview's victory came down to the chemistry between Ki Ellison and his top target Toray Davis. Ellison rushed for 37 yards and one TD while Davis gained 102 total yards and five touchdowns. Davis was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 50 yards.

As for Fossil Ridge, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Fairview is ranked 11th).

When it comes to explaining why Fossil Ridge lost, don't look at Eli Swanson. Despite the final result, he picked up 136 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Colton Jantz also deserves some recognition as he rushed for his first rushing yards of the season.

Fairview has already played their next contest, a 63-21 win against Rocky Mountain on the 31st. As for Fossil Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 45-22 victory against Brighton on the 30th.
