Fairview extended their winning streak to seven on Thursday, bumping them up to 8-1. They put the hurt on the Fossil Ridge SaberCats with a sharp 45-20 victory. The Knights' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

A big part of Fairview's win came down to the chemistry between Ki Ellison and his top target Toray Davis. Ellison rushed for 37 yards and one TD while Davis gained 102 total yards and five touchdowns. Davis was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 50 yards.

As for Fossil Ridge, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Fairview is ranked 11th).

Despite the loss, Fossil Ridge still got an impressive performance from Eli Swanson, who picked up 136 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Colton Jantz also deserves some recognition as he rushed for his first rushing yards of the season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairview will host Rocky Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Fossil Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brighton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The SaberCats will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
