Baseball Game Preview: King's Academy Lions vs. Lakeway Christian Academy Lions

We've got a battle between Lions coming up. King's Academy will be strutting in after a win while Lakeway Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.

King's Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Union County 14-3 on Saturday. The Lions not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18, 2024.

Jack Hamilton was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chelton Jones, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

King's Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Lakeway Christian Academy came up short against Heritage on Saturday and fell 10-5.

Kyler Worsham was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Lakeway Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for King's Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

King's Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Lakeway Christian Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-0.
