Ava Wombles Game Report: vs Pittsfield

Ava Wombles posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. She struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Wombles and Pleasant Hill will take on Routt Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sadly, Wombles' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Wolves' seven-game streak of wins at home.
