This season hasn't been kind to the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They took a 56-40 bruising from Southern on Saturday. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer has not had much luck with Southern recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brogan Dunlap. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Brennen Vaughan, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Southern, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will take on Meridian at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southern, they will head out on the road to face off against Weeping Water on Thursday.
