Baseball Recap: Chandler Prep Gets the Win

After only one run in their last match, Chandler Prep made sure to put some runs up on the board against St. Augustine Catholic on Monday. The Titans came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 16-12. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won three in a row.

Niall Schubring was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Isaac Swanson was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Chandler Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Chandler Prep will host San Carlos at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Braves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.13 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they have already played their next contest, a 5-4 defeat against Bisbee on the 8th.
